Born from a mother's love for feeding people well — a story rooted in tradition, community, and the flavours of Ghana.
Mom's Cuisine was founded in 2008 by Maame Akua Boateng, a passionate cook from Sunyani who had spent years feeding her large family and neighbours with the most delicious traditional meals.
What started as a small chop bar along the Sunyani-Brong highway quickly grew into the most beloved local food spot in the Bono Region. Word spread fast — not just because the food was exceptional, but because every visitor felt the genuine warmth and care that went into each meal.
Today, we continue Maame Akua's legacy, serving over 200 guests daily and remaining committed to the same values she built this place on: fresh ingredients, generous portions, and food made with love.
Every ingredient comes from farmers and markets right here in Sunyani and the Bono Region. We believe in supporting local agriculture and keeping our food truly Ghanaian.
We never cut corners. Our recipes have been passed down through generations, and we honour them every single day by preparing them the traditional, time-honoured way.
Mom's Cuisine is more than a restaurant — it's a gathering place for Sunyani. We host families, community events, and treat every customer like a member of our own family.
From how we choose our tomatoes to how long we simmer our soups, quality is never negotiable. If it's not good enough for our own family, it won't leave our kitchen.
A family of passionate cooks and hosts dedicated to making your experience unforgettable.
